The diversity of underwater life on Bonaire never fails to amaze, with the “new-to-Bonaire” species count increasing all the time.
But for the first time in 10 years there has been a truly “new-to-anywhere” species discovered, thanks to the keen eye and hard work on Bonaire nature photographer Ellen Muller.
Her discovery of this new species – to be commonly called the Candy Striped Hermit Crab – has been officially confirmed by the authorities of the Smithsonian Institute.
