Hiking Trails: For those days you prefer to stay top-side, we recommend a day spent in Washington Slagbaai National Park. If you have only traveled the Park in your truck in the past – try hiking it instead. The Park has three established hiking trails, with varied levels of difficulty. The Lagadishi Trail and the Kasikunda Climbing Trail are both accessible from the Park entrance area, with the third trail – the the Sub Brandaris – a bit further into the Park proper. This latter hike is a 45-minute climb up the 784 feet (241 m) high Mount Brandaris, the highest elevation on Bonaire. On clear days, the summit offers vistas of Bonaire and Curacao and even at times, Venezuela. For more information about these hiking trails and fees to enter the park, visit STINAPA’s website
